A place where we can heal with nature.
Cory Johnston — Founder | The Raven’s Nest Microgreens & More
Cory Johnston is the founder of The Raven’s Nest Microgreens & More, a purpose-driven agricultural venture rooted in the belief that the Earth itself is the greatest healer. Combining modern cultivation techniques with traditional botanical wisdom, Cory has dedicated his work to reconnecting people with the profound healing potential found in plants, soil, and natural ecosystems.
Cory is a Certified Master Herbalist, with extensive academic and independent study in herbal medicine, herbal pathology, plant pharmacology, and botanical therapeutics. His studies have focused on understanding not only how plants grow, but how their chemical compounds interact with the human body to support vitality, immunity, and overall wellness. Through this training, he has developed a deep appreciation for the intricate relationship between human health and the plant kingdom.
His work bridges traditional herbal knowledge and modern agricultural innovation. Cory’s background includes advanced study in plant sciences, horticulture, indoor agriculture systems, and controlled-environment growing techniques. These disciplines allow him to cultivate highly nutritious plants in carefully managed environments that maximize flavor, nutrient density, and freshness.
At The Raven’s Nest, Cory applies these principles through the cultivation of premium microgreens and specialty plants grown using carefully designed indoor systems. Microgreens are harvested at their peak nutritional stage, when their concentrations of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytonutrients are often significantly higher than their mature counterparts. Through this work, Cory seeks to provide foods that are not only flavorful but deeply nourishing.
The guiding principle behind his work is simple: “The Earth itself is the healer of all things.”
This philosophy shapes every aspect of The Raven’s Nest—from the seeds selected for cultivation to the growing methods used and the relationships built with the local community. By producing clean, nutrient-dense plants grown with intention and respect for natural processes, Cory hopes to help people rediscover the healing power of real food.
